So what is new and official in my life.....

I'll tell you what.... Robert is not necessarily new, but he and I are official!

DETAILS (for all you who think this is nuts and out of the blue, I assure you it’s not...)

Ok now for details (since we females seem to thrive on them)...

So well back before I started at BBC I used to go visit the Green's (Brent and Kim) At BBC. (Yes Brent used to live in Ontario and our friendship goes back far enough for me to bring up lots of great memories.) So I had met Robert then (January of 2002) and begun a small crush on this southern boy with an accent. lol. In between that I had lost touch with him other then through Brent when I had called him in the Dorms... plus at that point I was kind of dating Brent and so naturally thought nothing more of Robert.

When I came to BBC (Fall of 2002, Brent and I were back to friends and no longer ‘dating’) Robert was still there and was in the same program, that is when we started our tradition of sitting together in every class we had (which we upheld for four years). For me it was just a small crush and for him…. Well I guess he is the one who can answer that. Then BBC life progressed and Robert liked a certain good friend of mine (Courtney, whom I still love) and I liked Jon…. Funny thing is Robert and I even talked these two people to each other all the time. From then on Robert was one of my closest guy friends in every circumstance at school...we later on both began more serious relationships with others.

Fast-forward three years of friendship……

Later on at BBC our serious relationships came to an end… Robert was one of the many to comfort me through this time. We had communicated through BBC years as friends (he even used me as the ‘girl’ to find out the scoop on his crushes…lol) and through internship via. lots of e-mails. Then I saw him at Rachel's wedding (August 14, 2005), just when all the summer info was coming out... he was just a really great friend through it all. We would e-mail back and forth while he was at PIWC (Presque Isle Wesleyan Church) lots, as well as Lor and I would e-mail.... so I went for my first visit in October (and seriously I wanted to go to see Lor, Amy and the Rhyno's... but having Robert here was the cherry on top of the ice-cream, even though I do not like cherry’s… ok so I’ll call him the chocolate sauce)

Although I was scared to 'like' again and still had a lot of healing....
Robert was my secret crush. tehehe. So from then on we e-mailed, I was going back to BBC that January of 2006 and through an enormous amount of healing Robert and I just became closer friends as we once were our freshman year. I did not see him again (since he oh so conveniently dodged me when he came to visit the school) until Graduation. So from Grad…. Robert and five other guys had planned a baseball trip and my house became apart of the plan. This was funny because before Grad I had not seen him since December (when I visited PIWC a second time, oh yea what crazy nut-case goes from Ontario and flies to Presque Isle twice in less than three months)... and well it was just a secret crush via e-mail. Easy and safe. And we had not even e-mailed much or at all through spring semester....

Right after Grad our e-mailing picked up again…. so did text messaging and we were all of the sudden talking non stop (MSN, Texting, E-mails). They came to the game (6 boys) and it was such a fun time (Note: previous post where the Jays won against the Sox twice).

When Robert left... that was it, nothing had been said.... all was the same... and we went back to chatting until that Thursday night of June 1st.... when we both stayed up until 7am talking about everything... our feelings, our friends, if this could work, what to do next, all of it... the greatest part was we talked about it all in a radio station allegory…. (don’t ask) So that is where it begun....

Speed up until June 20th…when Robert had planned to come and visit my house again….

Last Tuesday I had a spontaneous thought and got on a plane and flew to Ottawa with short notice to Sarah Brown and Jeremiah.... Sarah Brown picked me up and then we awaited Robert and Jer to get to her house… It was a total surprise to Robert he had no idea I was going to be there… he was planning on dashing the next 6 hours to my house to see me… and there I was… you can ask him the rest of his side of that…

So then we drove back to my house 6 hours away together. I was a nervous wreck! But it was a wonderful ride; also we are now officially started dating! Wednesday I had to work at 6am until about 4pm but he hung out at my house with my sisters and mom, they adore him. Thursday was really fun. He always wanted to go to the zoo, crazy boy. But since the Toronto zoo was so far away I decided to take him to a more dilapidated zoo in a small place called Elmvale! It was our first date! Then we spent the rest of the afternoon at the longest fresh-water beach in the World, Wasaga beach. We walked in the water and found a spot on the beach that was vacant there we sat talking and just watching the water for hours. :D It was wonderful. Oh and another note Wednesday night he held my hand for the first time. ahhhhh it was so nice, funny though I felt like I was in 2nd grade and got a new Barbie or something! Anyways, Thursday night we went and saw my dad (biological) Robert was scared, but it went so well!!!! Friday we ate at a special place on the hwy heading up to my church camp...which is one of my favourite places on earth to be! So after eating at Webers we spent the afternoon there, where I was able to share all my God moments I have had there and take him to my special spots where I have grown up. It was amazing to spend this share time with him. That evening he met some of my home high school friends who adored him as well.... then that night we pulled an all-nighter and watched movies. Saturday morning he pulled out at 8:30am…L anyways phew I believe that is everything!

YAYAY I wanted to tell everyone in person, but that just was not possible. So that is my life as of now, I am working at the golf course and loving it. I work almost 50 hours a week so generally I am very tired. My social life consists of co-workers, I am enjoying having the opportunity for non-Christian friends again, and the witnessing is amazing. They joke with me about being Christian lots but also have serious questions too about Christianity. It is amazing... but I do miss my internship and being at church 100% of the time.

So let me get this straight--Rob is your chocolate sauce and little Barbie?!?! That's an odd combination. I mean, plus he's Jewish!! Whoa!

;)

I echo Massie. Weird. Ahhh.

But anyway, good stuff. I can't believe you actually told pretty much everything, but you left out the part about us guys nagging Rob to talk to you the night after the baseball game ;-).

I hate to say this, but I think I knew this was coming since that day a few years ago when I visited BBC during American Thanksgiving.

:) I had an intuition years (3+?) ago (and I barely knew either of you) that the two of you would find it beneficial to give dating eachother a try...glad to see it.

what can I say Massie...I'm the triple threat! :D

and yea, I didn't realize you had left that part out. I didn't really tell the guys, but I really had planned on talking to you about "us" stuff during the visit, and the guys bugged me like crazy about it. I don't know if they bugged me because it was funny or because they thought I should hurry up and talk to you. :P

oh, and hi ;)
